Jets vs Colts: Five Bold Predictions

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at New York Jets Robert Deutsch-USA TODAY Sports

Another week, another chance to prove my ability to predict the outcome with perfect accuracy. Well, near perfect accuracy. Or something at least in the vicinity of accuracy. I managed to predict 4 catches and over 100 yards for Robby Anderson and he went for over 100 yards on 3 catches. I predicted 100 yards for Crowell and 2 TDs and he managed to break the Jets single game rushing record without scoring a second TD. At least another week brings another chance.

Disclaimer: A Bold Prediction is not something that is likely or probable to happen. Bold Predictions are blind guesses that are laughably optimistic beyond what anyone can reasonably expect to happen, but not so far as to be virtually impossible. Saying that Leonard Williams will get a sack is not a Bold Prediction, nor is saying that Bilal Powell will run for 650 yards. By definition, Bold Predictions are unlikely, but not impossible, to occur. Since this is a Jets site, they are also pro-Jets predictions. As always, the Final Score prediction is meant to be realistic, not a Bold Prediction.

Here are my five bold predictions for tomorrow’s game:

  1. Sam Darnold throws for over 250 yards and 3 TDs.
  2. Quincy Enunwa bounces back with over 100 yards and 2 TDs.
  3. Robby Anderson gains steam with another 100 yard game and one 50+ yard TD.
  4. The Jets defense records 3 INTs in the first half.
  5. Henry Anderson, Leonard Williams, and Steve McLendon all record sacks.

And a bonus prediction: The Jets both out-rush and out-pass the Colts by at least 100 yards.

Final Score: The Jets have the perfect opportunity to return to .500, which means they’ll likely lose a heartbreaker in the waning seconds. Nevertheless, I predict the Jets win 30-21.
