The Tennessee Titans and the Kansas City Chiefs kick off the NFL Playoffs on this Wild Card Saturday.
Despite a down season from Marcus Mariota and allowing more points than they scored, the Titans are in the Playoffs for the first time since 2008. They go on the road to face the AFC West Champion Chiefs.
Kansas City looked like the best team in the league for the first month and change of the season, which began with a road victory in New England. A slump followed, but the Chiefs finished the year hot to claim their second consecutive division title.
The Chiefs are substantial favorites in this game. The winner will face either Pittsburgh or New England next weekend. That opponent will be determined by the winner of tomorrow’s game between Buffalo and Jacksonville. If the Jaguars win, the winner of this game goes to New England. If the Bills win, this game’s victor goes to Pittsburgh.
This game is the likely finale for Jon Gruden at ESPN as he will join the Oakland Raiders.
