On today’s podcast we take a look at the impact some of the news of the past week might affect comings and goings for the Jets. Even though we are not yet in the busy part of the offseason, we have seen some significant developments over the last few days.

Of course, a report broke early in the week that the Jets are likely to hire Jeremy Bates as their new offensive coordinator. The Jets still have not confirmed the hire, but it seems like we have already seen the impact. The team made another tweak on the coaching staff this week by firing offensive line coach Steve Marshall. The move might have been related to performance, but it might have been related to scheme. There are rumors about the Jets bringing in a new offensive line coach to help install Bates’ blocking scheme. On today’s show we discuss these developments.

We also discuss a few players who might be impacted by recent developments. One offensive lineman might be less likely to be around next year as the result of a scheme switch. Meanwhile Robby Anderson’s suddenly uncertain status makes it more likely one wide receiver will be back.
