Multiple reports indicate the Jets will interview former Lions quarterbacks coach Brian Callahan for a job on their offensive coaching staff.
Former Lions QB coach Brian Callahan has interviews scheduled with Jets and Titans, per source. At Tennessee that is for OC job. Also wouldn’t rule him out for the #Giants.

It is not clear exactly what job Callahan will be interviewing for. The Jets currently have an offensive coordinator opening. Adam Schefter reported early in the week the team is likely to elevate quarterbacks coach Jeremy Bates, but Todd Bowles refused to confirm it when asked. Could Callahan be interviewing for that position?
Of course, if Bates is elevated, the Jets would then be in the market for a new quarterbacks coach, a position Callahan served in Detroit last season. His prior NFL experience included a six year stint on the Denver Broncos coaching staff.
For whatever it is worth, Callahan does seem to be considered one of the hot young assistant coaches in the league so it makes sense that the Jets would have interest.
Callahan’s father, Bill, served as Jets offensive line coach from 2008 through 2011.
