Recapping the end of another Jets season

NFL: New England Patriots at New York Jets Brad Penner-USA TODAY Sports

The 2017 season is now over for the Jets. New York was blown out by the Patriots in the season finale Sunday in Foxborough. Thus ends a second consecutive 5-11 campaign for the Jets. On today's podcast, we put a bow on a year that began with some degree of promise but fell apart at the end.

The game on Sunday was not pretty. The weather was ugly. The play on the field was arguably uglier. The Jets were outclassed by a much better team.

A few days before the game, a more important development took shape. The Jets decided to keep their management team in place. General manager Mike Maccagnan and head coach Todd Bowles were given two year contract extensions. What do these deals mean? Were they a good idea? We will discuss it on today's show.
