Today’s podcast was supposed to be the Thursday mailbag, but the Jets had other plans. The team announced the firing of offensive coordinator John Morton on Wednesday. There had been rumblings of the team’s dissatisfaction with the offensive coordinator for a few weeks so this was not a total surprise. The Jets did go two and a half weeks from the end of the season without making a change, however, so one could be forgiven for expecting Morton to be safe.
On today’s show we take a look at the move. Was it the right decision? What were the factors? Where do the Jets go from here? Who are the potential replacements? How does this impact what the Jets do at quarterback? We will address it all.
