Jaguars vs Steelers Game Thread

It's the second half of the divisional round weekend extravaganza. Today we lead off with the Jacksonville Jaguars paying a visit to Heinz Field to take on the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Until a late season swoon the Jacksonville Jaguars had a 10-4 record and were vying for the #1 seed in the AFC playoffs. Two season ending losses dropped them to a 4th seed and a slot in the wild card round against the Buffalo Bills, where there barely scraped together an ugly 10-3 win. The Jaguars boast the NFL's #2 defense, #1 against the pass, and the NFL's #1 rushing offense, led by star rookie Leonard Fournette. Unfortunately the Jaguars also have Blake Bortles at quarterback, and that will likely be their downfall at some point in these playoffs.

The Pittsburgh Steelers come into this game red hot, winners of 10 of their last 11 games, their only loss by three points against the defending Super Bowl champion New England Patriots. The Steelers have a rare three headed beast on offense, with likely Hall of Famers at quarterback in Ben Roethlisberger, running back with Le'Veon Bell, and wide receiver with Antonio Brown. This makes for an explosive offense challenging for any defense. The Steelers also feature an outstanding defense, almost completely rebuilt over the last few years, which rated #5 in the NFL this season.

These two teams met in October in Pittsburgh, and the Jaguars destroyed the Steelers with the help of an avalanche of five Steelers turnovers. The Steelers will be looking for revenge today.

It's the Jaguars and the Steelers squaring off for a spot in the AFC Championship Game.

Enjoy the game everybody.
