Jets defensive lineman Muhammad Wilkerson is fighting through a sprain in his shoulder. The two-time All Pro spoke about the injury today. It could be something he has to deal with all season, but he says he is going to play through it.
Todd Bowles had the following to say about it.
On if Wilkerson’s shoulder injury is something he’s going to have to deal with throughout the season…
Probably. We’ll see how he feels. It will be a week-by-week basis.
On if Wilkerson’s had tests on his shoulder…
Yes, they came back negative. We just have to manage it.
On if the injury can be called anything specific…
Just a shoulder injury.
On if it’s a labrum issue …
Not that I know of.
On if Wilkerson has been wearing a brace on his shoulder…
No he hasn’t. I’m not a doctor so I’m not going to elaborate on anything else.
