Jets-Dolphins Final Score: New York Gets First Win in 20-6 Domination

NFL: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets Kyle Terada-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets got their first win of the 2017 season today in their home opener against the Miami Dolphins at MetLife Stadium. Gang Green won 20-6 to improve their record to 1-2.

It was domination in all three phases. The Dolphins were held to 225 yards and shut out until a meaningless touchdown in the final 10 seconds. Demario Davis, who had been one of the biggest culprits in the defense struggles of the first two weeks, had a monster game. On offense believe it or not, Josh McCown actually had a big day, going 18 for 23 for 249 yards, and a long touchdown to Robby Anderson. On special teams, the Jets were not fooled at all on a Dolphins fake punt attempt.

I don’t know how many more wins the Jets will have this year. I don’t think they will be easy to come by, but for this Sunday we can enjoy a Jets victory. The silliness of 0-16 speculation has been put to bed early.

Celebrate below. We will have more to come later.
