What Should the Jets’ Philosophy Be on Offense and Defense?

The Jets do not have much time to recover from their season opening loss to the Bills. They have a trip out to the West Coast this week as they play the Oakland Raiders. In the best of times, a trip across the country is difficult. Now the Jets need to fight off an ugly first week and take on an opponent many believe will be a contender.

On today’s podcast we take a look at what the Jets’ philosophy should be on the offensive and defensive sides of the ball. What we saw Sunday was less than stellar, and I think some of it can be traced back to the Jets not game planning with the correct philosophy. They didn’t seem to understand their strengths and weaknesses, and it showed.
