Sunday Night Football, Week 1. The 2017 NFL Sunday Night slate opens with a bang, as the Giants and the Cowboys renew one of the best rivalries in football. The Giants open the season on the road, traveling down to AT&T Stadium in Arlington Texas to take on the Cowboys. This is a game with likely playoff significance, as both these teams figure to be battling it out all season for NFC East supremacy.
Odell Beckham, Jr. may or may not take the field for the Giants, as he is dealing with a lingering ankle injury. However, with or without OBJ, Giants quarterback Eli Manning will have plenty of weapons to choose from, including newly acquired ex-Jet Brandon Marshall, newly drafted tight end Evan Engram, and second year receiver Sterling Shepard. On defense the Giants look to build on last year's fierce unit, which shut down Dallas' vaunted attack twice in 2016.
The Cowboys counter with arguably the best offensive line in football, even if a couple of guys have moved on, star sophomore quarterback Dak Prescott, looking to prove his superb rookie year was no fluke, star running back Ezekiel Elliott, fresh off a legal victory over the NFL, and a healthy Dez Bryant, one of the best receivers in football.
An intense division rivalry, two talented teams duking it out to gain an edge in what looks to be a season long struggle for NFC East supremacy; this is how Sunday Night Football SHOULD kickoff the year.
Enjoy the game everybody. As always we ask that you neither ask for nor post illegal streaming links.
