Jets 2017 Roster Breakdown: Myles White Is Back With the Jets

NFL: New York Jets-Training Camp Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

Our Jets roster countdown now turns its attention to Myles White.

Name: Myles White

Number: 16

Year with Jets: 2nd

Projected Role: Competing for wide receiver roster spot

His 2016: White spent training camp and the preseason with the crosstown rival Giants. After failing to make their roster, White was a sporadic part of the practice squad for the Jets. He was signed on three separate occasions and was cut on three separate occasions. White ended the season on Tampa Bay’s practice squad before signing for the Jets a fourth time in January on a reserve/future contract.

2017 will be a success if: White can establish some sort of role in the passing game. There certainly is an opportunity for playing time on this team. Of course, White has been in the league since 2013 and has 16 receptions in his career so there probably isn’t a ton of upside here.

Odds of making the roster: Longshot (less than 25%)
