Todd Bowles addressed injuries to several Jets in his postgame press conference following the team’s 16-10 victory over the Eagles in the preseason finale Thursday night.
Josh McCown briefly left the game after taking a big hit in the first quarter. Since the Jets were willing to put McCown back into a preseason game, it didn’t seem like anything major. Bowles confirmed it.
Todd Bowles said Josh McCown had the wind knocked out of him tonight.

McCown left the game for good in the first half. Christian Hackenberg came in and played the rest of the way. Bryce Petty did not get any action. Are there any tea leaves to read about Petty’s place on the depth chart? Bowles indicated that was not the case. Hackenberg’s playing time was based on the knee injury Petty suffered against the Giants.
Bowles said he didn't like the way Petty looked in warm-up, so he held him out.

Finally, tight end Chris Gragg left the game with what looked like a serious lower body injury. Bowles didn’t have a ton of specifics, but he did sound concerned.
Bowles said TE Chris Gragg might have suffered an ankle fracture. Says the injury was bad.
