The preseason ends tonight. The Jets host the Philadelphia Eagles in the annual Backup Bowl at MetLife Stadium.
If we see the starters for a single series, that would be a lot for this game. The impact players tend to not even suit up for this game. It is an opportunity to see some guys who might have to step into the lineup due to injuries during the season. It is also an opportunity for players in the middle of battles for positions or roster spots to make one final case prior to cutdown day. The NFL changed its cutdown procedures this year so 90 players are on each roster rather than the normal 75.
This game is also Dexter McDougle's emotional return to the Meadowlands to face his former team.
