For his part, Adams doesn’t seem to be too worried about his status going forward.
I'm okay, God is good!

The Jets have high hopes for Adams. He is expected to take on a starting role after the team jettisoned both starting safeties from a year ago. As the sixth overall pick, you would expect him to step into a starting role anyway.
We are still a long way off from the start of the season so one would have to guess the Jets are going to be patient with Adams’ recovery. There is no need to rush him back and risk injuring the ankle worse before he feels 100%.
Saturday night is the Green and White Practice at MetLife Stadium. It would be nice for the fans to see Adams on that field for the first time, but that clearly is not the priority.
