Jets head coach Todd Bowles provided updates on a couple of key injuries from Saturday night’s preseason loss to the Giants.
On if there is any injury updates pertaining to Leonard Williams and Petty…
Leonard has a sore wrist and Bryce is getting an MRI tomorrow.
On if there is anything to be concerned about regarding Williams’ wrist…
There is nothing there. It’s just sprained.
The Jets obviously can’t afford to lose Williams, although their 2017 might not be that bright even with him in the fold.
You just have to feel awful for Petty. He was in the middle of a monster night throwing the ball. He probably locked up the backup quarterback job with such a strong performance combined with another awful showing from Christian Hackenberg.
We will have to wait and see the results of the test, but this comment from Petty isn’t encouraging.
On if his knee felt stable after jogging on it…
Yeah, just not stable.
