*Bowles seemed relatively pleased with the play of Christian Hackenberg. He indicated there are some things the young quarterback can build off.
*Bowles confirmed that the plan was generally to give Hackenberg short throws in this game. He did note there were a few plays where the primary option was a covered deep receiver that led Hackenberg to move onto a shorter option. This was the correct read.
*The defensive linemen doing sprints during the game was something they did on their own to stay in shape.
*In terms of injuries, Dylan Donahue did not play because he is dealing with a shoulder issue. Doug Middleton injured his pectoral muscle during the game.
