Our Jets roster breakdown moves on to Craig Watts.
Name: Craig Watts
Number: 64
Year with Jets: 2nd
Projected Role: Competing for a backup spot on the offensive line
His 2016: The Jets signed Watts to a reserve/future contract to bring him to training camp. He failed to make the final roster and was signed to the practice squad. Injuries led to Watts receiving a promotion to the active roster late in the season. He dressed for the last three games of the regular season and participated in five offensive snaps.
2017 will be a success if: Watts makes the roster and fills in capably as a backup when called upon. Watts has spent a large chunk of his three NFL years on practice squads for the Jets and the Chargers. Unless the league adjusts the eligibility rules, he will not be eligible in 2017 so Watts will need to make the active roster.
Odds of making the roster: Unlikely (25-50%)
