Breaking Down the News as the Jets Kick Training Camp Off

Training camp for the Jets got underway this weekend. The long offseason has finally come to an end, and the team is preparing for the start of the 2017 season.

It was a bit of a sleepy start to training camp. There were not any major headlines emerging. That isn’t such a bad thing. If you have followed the Jets for a while, you know that sometimes quiet can be good.

There were a handful of minor stories. At this early point in camp, it is difficult to read too much into any development on the field. A guy might be getting first team reps, but that doesn’t mean he will be the starter. A guy might get off to a slow start, but that doesn’t mean he is a lost cause for the season.
