Training camp is almost upon us. It is a big step in moving closer to the end of the long offseason.
The Jets open training camp with almost no expectations. Most pundits believe they have a bottom tier roster. There are not many players expected to do a whole lot. There are exceptions. Leonard Williams’ career is on a star trajectory. Jamal Adams is a highly regarded first round pick. Muhammad Wilkerson and Sheldon Richardson have the talent of top defensive linemen even if they didn’t show it in 2016.
The rest of the roster generally has much lower expectations. On today’s podcast, I take a look at three players I think have a chance to exceed those expectations. I’m not necessarily expecting any of the three to be stars, but I think they could contribute more than people are expecting.
