Our Jets roster countdown now takes a look at Bryson Keeton.
Name: Bryson Keeton
Number: 37
Year with Jets: 2nd
Projected Role: Competing for depth cornerback roster spot
His 2016: Keeton was undrafted in 2016 and initially was not signed by a team as an undrafted free agent. He was relegated to longshot tryout player status at Jets rookie minicamp. He impressed enough, however, to earn a contract and a training camp spot. Keeton grabbed a practice squad slot after being cut at the end of the preseason and earned a call up to the active roster before the end of the year.
2017 will be a success if: Keeton continues to grow. It could be on the practice squad, where he maintains eligibility. Any player with this type of profile has a tall hill to climb to become a quality NFL player, but it is a good sign that the coaches are impressed enough by him to keep giving him opportunities.
Odds of making the roster: Longshot (less than 25%)
