Our Jets roster countdown moves forward by taking a look at Corey White.

Name: Corey White

Number: 39

Year with Jets: 1st

Projected Role: Depth piece at multiple spots in the secondary

His 2016: White caught on with the Bills after spending his 2015 season with Dallas and Arizona. He started 4 games and had a pair of interceptions to go with 4 passes defensed in 413 defensive snaps. He lasted a while in free agency before the Jets scooped him up.

2017 will be a success if: White can help provide some veteran stability in the secondary as a backup. He has experience lining up at both cornerback and safety. Todd Bowles has referred to him as a utility guy in the secondary. At 27 years old, the ship has likely sailed on the possibility of White becoming a quality starter. Some decent depth work would help things out.

Odds of making the roster: 50/50
