Tuesday was a surprising day at Jets OTA’s. The team decided to move on from linebacker David Harris and wide receiver Eric Decker.
The moves offer Jets cap space in the short run. They also lower the talent level on the roster. That talent level wasn’t exactly high to begin with. If you wanted the Jets to be bad next season in order to secure a high Draft pick, it was probably a good day for you.
On today’s podcast we talk about what happened breaking it down from a number of different angles. What are the reasons these moves make sense? What are the reasons they don’t? Why didn’t the Jets make these moves earlier in the offseason? Why did the Jets make these moves on a day when the press was swarming the team facility?
