On yesterday’s podcast we talked a bit about some of the offensive position battles we might see play out at Jets training camp in 2017. Today we turn our attention to the defensive side of the ball. Things are a bit more settled there, but there still are some spots to watch.
Some of the positions where the Jets will likely have a competition are among the most important in Todd Bowles’ defensive system, edge rusher and cornerback. Due to last week’s trade of Calvin Pryor for Demario Davis, inside linebacker has become a spot worth watching. The Jets might already know what they are doing there, eliminating a pure position battle, but it remains a spot worth watching until we know for sure.
