Former Jets linebacker David Harris is signing with the Patriots.
Former Jets LB David Harris has reached agreement on a two-year deal with...the New England Patriots, source tells ESPN.

Harris played with the Jets from 2007 through 2016. He was a second round pick of the team a decade ago. It was relatively surprising to see the Jets make him a late cut a few weeks ago.
Florio indicates the Patriots offered Harris more than the Jets did.
But here’s what we know, per a source with knowledge of the situation: The Patriots offered Harris more than the Jets did on a reduced deal, before the Jets cut him.
It’s another one of those smart under the radar veteran signings the Patriots always seem to make. It certainly will be odd to watch Harris playing in a Patriots uniform.
As for the Jets, they head into the season with Demario Davis sliding into Harris’ old starting role after a franchise great moves on to a division rival. It has been that kind of offseason for the Jets.
