Jets 2017 Roster Breakdown: Devin Street Faces Long Odds of Making the Team

NFL: Indianapolis Colts at Tennessee Titans Christopher Hanewinckel-USA TODAY Sports

Our countdown of the Jets roster continues with Devin Street.

Name: Devin Street

Number: 84

Year with Jets: 1st

Projected Role: Competing for one of the last roster spots at wide receiver

His 2016: Street’s third year in the league was turbulent. He spent training camp with the Cowboys but was let go. He was signed to New England’s practice squad and then picked up by the Colts. The Colts later cut him to their practice squad before moving back to their active roster. He had a grand total of one reception. His offseason has included being waived by the Colts and Patriots before the Jets picked him up.

2017 will be a success if: Street find a way to stick on the Jets roster. It won’t be easy. He is already 26, and the Jets have a number of receivers with more upside. This seems like the definition of a camp body.

Odds of making the roster: Longshot (less than 25%)
