Decker was a played with the Jets from the 2014 season through the 2016 season. The team released him a few weeks ago in a mild surprise.
His signing with Tennessee doesn’t have a major impact with the Jets, but it does provide some degree of closure for all parties involved.
On paper, it seems like a solid match. The Titans add another offensive weapon to help support their young quarterback, and it is a one year contract. If Decker is recovered from his injuries, he is going to help that team. He also is only 30 so he probably has a lot of good football in front of him.
Decker goes to a team that seems to be on the rise with a promising young signal caller.
