What Is the Best Outcome for the 2017 Jets?

What type of year would be best for the Jets in 2017? Yes, we all know a Super Bowl win would be the very best in a literal sense. That doesn’t seem like a terribly likely outcome, though.

The team is looking at year where expectations are so low that even a normally unremarkable outcome like 6, 7, or 8 wins might be considered an accomplishment. Would this be better than a team at the bottom of the league?

I say it depends on how it goes down. Not all 6, 7, or 8 win seasons are created equally. There are certain variables that could make winning a few extra games worth it and a few others that could make it better just to lose and potentially have a shot at landing a quarterback.
