NFL Power Rankings and Oddsmakers Still Don’t Like Jets Much After 2017 NFL Draft

NFL: New York Jets-Rookie Minicamp Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets’ drafting of Jamal Adams drew the team a lot of praise in NFL circles, but it hasn’t altered the perception the team may be in for a rough 2017 season.

ESPN’s Power Rankings have the Jets at an unchanged 30th ranking out of the league’s 32 teams.

Jamal Adams should be a great player. He is not, however, a quarterback. The Jets are forever the Jets, the rare team that finds itself (A) rebuilding and (B) with its coach and general manager somehow on the hot seat at the same time.

Meanwhile, Bodova currently has the Jets at an over/under of 5 wins. Again this puts them 30th in the league above only the 49ers and the Browns. Those teams both are sitting on an over/under of 4.5 wins in 2017.

Would you take the over or the under when it comes to the Jets in the 2017 season?
