Late last week we found out the Jets decided to move on from starting safety Marcus Gilchrist. Then they held their rookie minicamp over the weekend. We talk about these happenings on today’s podcast.
The decision on Gilchrist is no surprise. The Jets made it clear they wanted to get younger and better at the safety position during the Draft, where they used two of the top 40 picks to pick safeties. While the long-term plan at the position has been clear, this provides answers to some of the short-term questions at the position. Others remain, and we will discuss them on today’s show.
Minicamp did not have a whole lot of developments. The Jets signed a pair of tryout players, and we got some generic comments to the press. We will still discuss.
