Plenty of News From Day One of Jets OTA’s

New, comments
NFL: New York Jets-OTA Ed Mulholland-USA TODAY Sports

The Jets got their organized team activities going yesterday for 2017, and there was plenty of news. Devin Smith made it onto injured reserve. The coordinators talked. So did Sheldon Richardson. On today’s podcast, we do our best to break it down.

There were a few interesting nuggets from offensive coordinator John Morton. Defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers talked about how the Jets plan on using Richardson this year that are encouraging. It seems like the team is going to focus on using Richardson in a way that better utilizes his ability. Of course, Richardson couldn’t wait to create an unnecessary distraction and throw stones from his glass house. I’m a little frustrated with this silliness, and I express that on the show.
