The Jets are on the field today for OTA’s. These organized team activities are offseason practices for players to work on their games.
It would not be wise to have many big takeaways from what happens during these offseason practices. A player showing signs of life isn’t necessarily a sign a big improvement is on the way. It is better to hear good things about a player than the alternative, however.
These are voluntary. Players are not required to attend. In the past Todd Bowles has even said that it isn’t a big deal if players skip these practices as long as they are prepared and in shape by the time training camp rolls around.
Today’s OTA is supposed to be available to the media so we will have the GGN Twitter widget providing you with some live updates through the day as the Jets take the field in the offseason.
