The Jets have announced the signing of their fourth round pick, wide receiver Chad Hansen.
"I ended up with the best organization for myself and that's the biggest thing for me," Hansen said at the rookie minicamp. "I know I ended up in a great place and I'm happy about that."
As far as immediately helping out the Jets receiving corps as a rookie, he said, "That's my goal. ... I've just got to keep working and learn the offense, just work as hard as I can all the time and let the chips fall where they may."
As always, this was a formality. With the rookie wage scale, you seldom see holdouts among first round picks. A fourth round pick’s contract leaves very little room for negotiation.

The Jets have now signed four of their nine Draft picks. In addition to Hansen, the team previously signed its three sixth round picks.
