Tony Romo to the Broadcast Booth: How It Impacts the Jets, Your Game Watching Experience, and His Legacy

NFL: Dallas Cowboys at Philadelphia Eagles Bill Streicher-USA TODAY Sports

We had a curveball thrown at us on Tuesday. Tony Romo decided to hang up his cleats and go to the broadcast booth.

I don’t know about you, but I thought the chances of Romo retiring were minimal. I was stunned to hear he would be leaving the playing field. When I found out about his new job, it made more sense, though.

Romo isn’t just going into broadcasting. He will be the lead analyst on CBS’ coverage of the AFC. It is one of the best jobs in sports, and Romo got it to start his career.

On today’s podcast we talk about the move. I have always been a big fan of studying the way sports are broadcast so I have plenty of thoughts. We will also discuss the impact if any this move has on the Jets and Romo’s legacy as a player.
