With the Jets finished in the 2017 NFL Draft, the work is not complete. Now the attention turns to signing undrafted free agents.
To be clear, most players the Jets sign as undrafted free agents will not pan out. Many will languish bouncing between the back of the roster and the practice squad. Many others will be cut in training camp and never even get that far. Some will even miss the first round of cuts.
Sometimes you find a gem, though, as the Jets have done with Damon Harrison and Mike Devito in the past. Even players like Jeff Cumberland who turn out to be marginal contributors are relatively successful undrafted free agent stories.
To track which players the Jets sign, we will enlist the GGN Twitter widget. If there was a Twitter widget draft, teams would be mortgaging their future to trade up for the top overall pick so they could draft it.
