One round down, and 6 to go. All this means is the Jets have move opportunities to improve their team for 2017 and beyond.
As things stand, the Jets have three selections today. We headed over to NFL.com to see who they believed the Jets would take:
Pick 39: Dalvin Cook, RB, Florida State
Pick 70: Adam Shaheen, TE, Ashland
Pick 107: Josh Reynolds, WR, Texas A&M
I would absolutely love it if we came out of the 2017 NFL draft with Jamal Adams, Dalvin Cook and Adam Shaheen. All three of those guys have incredible talent and the additions of Cook and Shaheen would give the offensive side of the ball an influx of talent.
Reynolds is an interesting one. He's a good pass catcher who tracks the ball as well as anyone, he's also good decent long speed and he's a tall guy who could help in the red-zone. Problem is he has a very slight frame and struggles to get off the line against press. With a late 3rd, I wouldn't hate it, but if someone like Elflein is there, I take him every day. (For the sake of fairness, he had already been selected in this mock scenario)
What do you think Jets fans? If the Jets were to leave with Adams, Cook, Shaheen and Reynolds, how would you feel?
