Jets Pick Jamal Adams; Breakdown of the Pick and the Rest of the 2017 NFL Draft First Round

NCAA Football: Citrus Bowl-Louisiana State vs Louisville Kim Klement-USA TODAY Sports

The first round of the 2017 NFL Draft is in the books. There is a new member of the New York Jets, and it is safety Jamal Adams out of LSU. I am not sure many people expected it to happen. Even the Jets reportedly told Adams he was wasting his time visiting them because of how unlikely it was he would fall all the way to the sixth pick.

Like Leonard Williams two years ago, Adams unexpectedly fell to six, and the Jets were very happy to grab him.

On today’s podcast we will offer a short summary of what the Adams pick means. Since there are only so many ways I can say, “I love this pick,” then we will turn our attention to the rest of the first round. I have thoughts on many of the other things that will happen.

On a programming note, we are planning to have a live broadcast tonight after the conclusion of the third round.
