The Jets have been bringing in a lot of prospects who should be available in the first and second rounds. Some players they brought in for due diligence, just in case. When LSU star Jamal Adams made the trip to New Jersey he was greeted in a very unique manner.
Jamal Adams told me the Jets basically told him in his visit, "You're wasting your time. Why are you here?" They don't think he's there at 6

I saw that some people took this very literally, as if the Jets were disrespecting him. Some were asking the question, "Well why did they invite him then?"...Relax, this was the Jets way of paying him the ultimate compliment.
They'll basically saying that they think he's such a talent, they don't see any way that five teams pass on him before the Jets come to the podium with their selection. It's a tongue in cheek way of saying, we think you're one of the best.
Personally I loved hearing this. You all know how much I love Adams and how I think he'll be one of the best safeties in the league for the next 10 years, so it'll be interesting to see what the Jets do if Adams does indeed drop to number 6. I don't think that will happen, but it's pretty obvious that the Jets have a lot of time for Adams.
