What Are the Jets’ Draft Needs?

Needs might not be the only factor determining how a team drafts, but they certainly play a role in strategy. The Jets have their fair share of needs entering this year’s NFL Draft. If we are talking from a purely positional standpoint, the Jets have needs everywhere.

Some might be more pronounced than others. The team needs a cornerback more than it needs a running back or wide receiver. Still, defensive line is the only spot on the field that would not be upgraded by adding a high end young player.

I don’t think of needs only in a positional context. There are other bigger picture needs. A need at quarterback is always the biggest, but there are other things the Jets have to address. We go into greater detail on today’s podcast.
