Jason LaCanfora says free agent edge rusher Nick Perry is staying in Green Bay.
Hearing Packers have a long-term agreement with Nick Perry. Huge win Green Bay. Keep the pass rushing LB. Should be announced today

There were rumors the Jets were interested in Perry and were prepared to make him a big offer. Perry seems to be staying with the team he knows, though.
I was always lukewarm on Perry. I even named him as one of five players for the Jets to avoid. He did have 11 sacks last year, but it was by far his most productive year in the league. I am always a little skeptical of players who only do it one year, particularly when that one year happens to be a contract year.
The free agency period officially begins today, but NFL teams have been allowed to speak with free agents since Tuesday. Thus far we have heard the Jets linked to many names, but they have not agreed to terms to bring in any new players.
