The Most Important Person for the Jets on the Offensive Line

New, comments
NFL: New York Jets at Arizona Cardinals Mark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY Sports

Todd Bowles spoke with the media on Tuesday. He did not offer a ton of information. He mentioned a few things of note about the quarterback position. He refused to name a starter for 2017. He also mentioned that the Jets could potentially use the sixth pick on a quarterback. That should come as no major surprise. The team has offered indications for a while that this was a possibility.

The Jets also signed an offensive lineman on Tuesday, albeit not a very accomplished one.

This got me thinking about both the possibility the Jets will take a quarterback and the state of the offensive line. Ideally, you want to put a rookie quarterback behind a rock solid offensive line. The Jets don’t have one of those on paper. The moves they have made indicate to me that they are depending on one man to make the line work. Find out more by listening to today’s podcast.
