Jets Take Mitch Trubisky in SB Nation 2017 NFL Mock Draft

Our friend Dan Kadar is out with a new mock draft, and he has the Jets taking a quarterback with the sixth pick.

6. New York Jets: Mitchell Trubisky, QB, North Carolina

One of the exceptions in this week’s mock draft comes at No. 6 and the New York Jets. Instead of going with a defender or Alabama tight end O.J. Howard, the choice is North Carolina quarterback Mitchell Trubisky. The Jets sent a small army of six people to Trubisky’s pro day for a reason. They’ve brought in a veteran quarterback in Josh McCown, but could still go after a quarterback high in the draft.

The first five picks are Myles Garrett, Malik Hooker, Solomon Thomas, Jonathan Allen, and Marshon Lattimore. So the Jets are taking Trubisky over Deshaun Watson, Jamal Adams, Leonard Fournette, O.J. Howard, and Reuben Foster. Give me Adams from that group.

The Jets take a defender in the second round.

39. New York Jets: Carl Lawson, DE/OLB, Auburn
