North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky is expected to be a high first round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft. The Jets happen to have a big need at the position and the sixth overall pick so he is a possible target.
The Jets will be working out the prospect.

I am sure we can expect the Jets to spend plenty of time with Trubisky and all of the top quarterback prospects. Heck, based on the way these things work if there are no reports about the Jets being linked to a specific quarterback, that might be the guy they really want.
In any event, a private workout with Christian Hackenberg reportedly had an impact on the Jets’ decision-making process. The team eventually drafted Hackenberg in the second round so while this workout might not mean anything, it certainly is worth keeping in the back of your mind as this process plays out.
