NFL insider Ian Rapoport mentions the Jets in connection with some players at important positions who will be on the open market.
As teams sort through the various QB options -- there are many -- 2 potential landing spots have emerged for Mike Glennon: #Bears and #Jets

Potential landing spots for FA OT Russell Okung: #Jets, #Giants, #Chargers, #Rams, and #Vikings... but don't rule out #Seahawks

I would have to guess this will not be the last time we hear the Jets connected with these players. The team has holes at both quarterback and left tackle, which happen to be very important positions. There are no obvious answers. The great players at these positions tend to not hit the open market.
Glennon and Okung both come with a degree of uncertainty, but they are among the top viable free agents at their respective positions.
Obviously we are going to hear plenty of rumors surrounding these players and others who play the same positions with the Jets in the days and weeks to come so we will need to remember to take any rumor with a grain of salt.
I felt like Rapoport’s stuff was worth sharing, though.
