The Jets have not made much news this offseason in the way of notable player signings. Prior to Thursday, there had only been one starter level signing, Kelvin Beachum.

Now the team has made a second, cornerback Morris Claiborne from Dallas. Claiborne comes with a lot of risk with numerous injuries and a lot of ineffective play during his career. He is coming off a season where he played very effectively, however. Admittedly, injuries popped up again.

The Jets also made a less significant signing by bringing back Mike Pennel. Pennel was actually claimed by the team a few months back even though he had played the last game on his old contract. The Jets seemed to want to get to know the twice suspended defensive lineman, and they liked what they saw.

Will Friday bring any news? The only way to find out is to follow the GGN Twitter widget.
