The Jets finally started making some notable moves on Friday.
Chandler Cantanzaro entered the team’s kicking competition. Despite a shaky 2016, he has a quality track record so he likely has a leg up on the competition (no pun intended).
Tanner Purdum has returned as well. The long snapper is the second longest tenured Jet now. The Jets have added a couple of other long snappers so we could be looking at a #LongSnapperPositionBattle in training camp.
The big news, however, is the Jets signing Kelvin Beachum. The Jets were interested in the left tackle a year ago before he signed with Jacksonville. He was one and done with the Jaguars after a less than stellar season, but he had a quality career with the Steelers before that point.
It is the weekend, but there will likely be more NFL news today so here is a thread to discuss it. The GGN Twitter widget isn’t taking the weekend off.
