It’s always interesting to see where the Jets show up on the pro-day circuit. I managed to talk to a few people in attendance, and confirmed that the Jets made the effort to travel to the following pro-days. I’ve also named a couple of prospects that may be of interest to the Jets come draft weekend, along with their projected round in my opinion.
Oklahoma State
DT Vincent Taylor - 13 TFL, 7 Sacks in 2016. Long arms, good strength. (6th)
S Jordan Sterns - Good tackler, 100+tackle seasons, improved coverage (4th)
CB - Ashton Lampkin - Decent size, but avoids any physical play, doesn’t tackle (6th)
RB - Christopher Carson - Power back, limited at the next level (7th)
Penn
QB - Alex Torgersen - 67% completion, 17 TD, 4 INT 2,231 passing yards (UDFA)
UTEP
TE - Hayden Plinke - 456 yards, 8 TD’s in 2016. Some drop issues (6th)
RB - Aaron Jones - 1,773 yards with 17 scores. Productive, talented. Sleeper for sure (5th)
Wyoming
RB - Brian Hill - 1860 yards, 22 TD’s in 2016. Solid between the tackle runner. (5th)
C - Chase Roullier - Guard, moved to centre as senior. Short arms, run blocker. (7th)
Samford
WR - Karel Hamilton - 1389 yards, 14 TD, 6'1/202lb's. 4.59 40 time
