2017 Mock Offeseason

This mock offseason is in no way realisitc. but all the scenarios I've included could happen are not farfetched.

Contracts - FA re-signings and Restructuring deals (used OverTheCap calculator for all of this)

Darrelle Revis: Revis is in need of a paycut and he will now earn $10,000,000 this season

Ryan Clady: Cut to free up 10million in cap space

Buster Skrine: Restructured contract to $5,887,500

Breno Giacomini: Cut, trash RT. Frees up $4.5 million

Sheldon Richardson and Marcus Gilchrist to Atlanta Falcons for the 31st overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft (that trade frees up a total of $12.754 million in cap space

Brandon Marshall to the Tennessee Titans for the 83rd overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft ( this trade frees up $7.5 million in cap space)

This gives us $25.55 million in cap room heading into FA

Free Agency

Trumaine Johnson 4 year, $32 million deal. ($12million guaranteed) has good relationship with current Jets DB's coach and is still an excellent CB.

Tony Jefferson 3 year $7.7 million deal. ($1.4million guaranteed) another great defender who has history with Todd Bowles. will come at a cheap price.

Wesley Johnson: second round tender - $2.553 million

Marcus Williams: orignial round tender - $1.671 million

Tanner Purdum: 1 year, $1.5 million deal (300k guaranteed)

We now have $12.598 million in cap space heading into the draft

Draft day trade: Calvin Pryor 70th Overall Pick and 31st overall pick to Tampa Bay for 19th Overall pick in the 2017 NFL Draft

6th overall pick: Jamal Adams, S, LSU. Excellent physical safety who is a great playmaker. Will become a great starter for the Jets

19th overall pick: Ryan Ramcyzk, OT, Wisconsin. Jets are in dire need of an OT and Ramcyzk will dominate at either LT or RT

38th overall pick: Christian McCaffrey. RB, Stanford. He's the biggest question mark, but Forte can't run forever and he can compliment and learn a lot off Powell as they are similar sort of backs. Also gives us a gun returner

83rd overall pick: Chad Hansen, WR, Cal. A great physical receiver who can dominate all-round. Watched him a few times and I believe he can be another young gun in our revamped youth-filled offense.

4th round compo pick (due to the loss of Snacks Harrison): Rasul Douglas. CB, WVU. Good cover guy, can make strong plays and lay tackles
