Positives
- Good speed for a guy his size
- Generates good yardage after contact
- Runs with a lot of power
- Always keeps his legs moving forward
- Has very good balance
- Has good size
- Has good acceleration in the open field
- Gets a lot of yards after first contact
- Has been durable so far
Negatives
- Only average vision
- Doesn’t have much 3rd down value
- Isn’t very shifty
- Isn’t much of a receiving threat
- Needs to work on ball security
- Only average instincts that might not translate at the next level
Conclusion
Foreman is a running back that exploded onto the scene in 2016. He was 2nd in the FBS in rushing yards. It’s not hard to see why. D’Onta is a very powerful back that fights for every yard, and has deceptive speed to run away from defenders, if he gets into the open field. The Jets have Bilal Powell, who is great, high effort running back. Powell also is valuable as a 3rd down opting. This is something that Forman won’t be at the next level. What he would offer us is a great change of pace from Powell’s style of play. D’Onta would also be a good short yardage option.
Draft Round Prediction: Round 2
