Nick Foles or Matt McGloin?

These are the two free agent QB's that the Jets should be deciding between. No way Romo comes here and I wouldn't want him. He's one sack away from needing a wheelchair to get around. Mike Glennon will be too expensive. No to Jay Cutler as well. At the very least, we'd have a veteran QB in Foles or McGloin with some starting experience. My hope is that Hackenberg or Petty can win the job in training camp. If neither one can beat out a relatively mediocre veteran QB, the Jets are drafting another QB early in 2018. Personally, I don't have much hope that Petty can win the job. Hackenberg is a complete unknown at this point. For the rest of the off season, the Jets clear cap space and sign Trumaine Johnson and Kelvin Beachum. Juston Burris should have every opportunity to be the CB2 and Skrine can move back to the slot where he is more effective. Calvin Pryor had an off year but hopefully bounces back. In the draft, FS Malik Hooker would really solidify the secondary. His injury history is concerning, but having a true back end eraser would be something that this defense has not had since Kerry Rhodes. I wouldn't be mad if Leonard Fournette was the pick at 6. Or depending on what happens with David Harris, Reuben Foster would fit nicely in the middle with Darron Lee. In the second round, find the best WR, CB or RB left. I hope we can grab C Elfein or Pocic in the 3rd and TE Jake Butt in the 4th. This isn't going to be turned around next year, but I'm hoping more of the young players show progress and the Jets increase their talent base. Thoughts on my off season plan?
